Square Enix teases a new Bravely Default title on Twitter

Square Enix teases a new Bravely Default title on Twitter

One of the most successful JRPG series of Square Enix that was released on the Nintendo 3DS are the Bravely Default games. With the last game being released a few years ago, many are wondering just when is the next game coming, or if it will finally be a Switch title.

Following the successful release of Octopath Traveler on the Nintendo Switch, both the Twitter pages of Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default released an artwork that resembles the fairy, Airy, from Bravely Default. Many fans speculated that this could be a hint that Square Enix will be announcing the next Bravely Default game for either the 3DS or the Switch.

In addition to the Tweet, the official Japanese Twitter page of Bravely Default changed its name to “ブレイブリー◯◯◯◯◯”, which translates to “Bravely ◯◯◯◯◯”. An art was also posted which depicts the shadow made from the artwork they released earlier this week celebrating the success of Octopath Traveler– again this resembles the fairy, Airy.

What could the hints mean? Could the sequel to the Bravely Default game be coming on the Nintendo Switch? Or could it be a remake is on the way? We will have to wait and find out what could this mean but I’m down for Bravely Default on my Nintendo Switch.

Octopath Traveler is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
