Sonic Mania Plus Is Now The Highest Rated Sonic Game In 25 Years

Sonic Mania Plus Is Now The Highest Rated Sonic Game In 25 Years

Sonic the Hedgehog amazed everyone when the first trilogy sped onto the Sega Genesis and Megadrive consoles back in the ’90s. Sadly after that boom period, Sonic’s video game history has been hit and miss at best.

Sure there were some good Sonic games, but over the years we’ve been treated with a lot of duds. Thankfully, it looks like Sonic is cool again thanks to the release of Sonic Mania last year and Sonic Mania Plus this year.

Sega has now announced that Sonic Mania Plus is the highest rated Sonic game in the last 25 years. The official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter page announced the following: “With a 90 Metascore on Nintendo Switch, Sonic Mania Plus is now the highest-rated Sonic game in 25 years. Thank you for being there with us, every step of the way.”

Sonic Mania is a really good game and is sure to put a smile on the face of fans. It’s way better than the recently released Sonic Forces that came out last November.
