Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer Is Now Zooming Out Again On PC

Star Wars: Episode 1 may not have been the best Star Wars movie ever made, but one cannot deny that the podracers were the best parts of the movie. Well 19 years after the release of the movie, you can now relive the podracing elements of the movie by playing the video game.

Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer originally came out in 1999 for the Nintendo 64 and PC platforms and it was really fun. PSOne gamers missed out on this gem, although they received another action adventure based game based on the movie instead. The game was then later ported a second time to the Sega Dreamcast in 2000.

Anyway, it’s now 2018 and the PC version of Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer is getting re-released on GOG. This GOG version is just a port of the original PC classic so it’s not a remake or remaster sadly.

The game has been upgraded a tiny bit though as you can play it in 1080p and 60fps. You can also play it via 16:9 although this stretches out the image. You can adjust it to the original 4:3 format if you really want to.

The game is out now on GOG and will only cost you $10 to buy it. It’s worth buying if you are a huge Star Wars fan and loved the podracing segment in The Phantom Menace movie.
