Deep Silver Reveals That Shenmue 3 Has Been Delayed Until 2019

Shenmue 3 is a big game that finally started development in around 2015, but sadly the game is taking longer than expected to get finished. The game’s publisher, Deep Silver, has now offered an official statement of the game’s new release window.

Deep Silver announced on its official website the current status of Shenmue 3’s development cycle: “Deep Silver today announce that their upcoming release Shenmue III has been moved and will now release in 2019. The extra time will be used to polish the quality of the game even further, to the high standards it deserves and release the product in the best possible timeframe.

This is sad news, although it’s not out of the ordinary. Games always get delayed in order for them to get better by making them longer or getting rid of all the bugs and technical issues.

This delay just means people that have been waiting for the game have to be patient. The game started development in 2015 after it was successfully funded by many backers on Kickstarter. Since that time, Deep Silver stepped in to publish the game and also aid its development.
