God of War Guide – What to do after you finish the game

God of War Guide – What to do after you finish the game

Unlike in previous God of War games where after the credits rolled, you are left with nothing to do, the newest installment of God of War is much different. Right after Kratos and Atreus finish their journey, the game will not end, though the credits will be rolling.

When you are back to where you are supposed to be prior to seeing the ending, several things will open up that will allow you to continue and finish side quests or embark on a new one.

Endgame Content

1. Seek out the 9 Valkyries
There are Nine Valkyries hidden in Midgard and other realms that you have to seek out and defeat. These Valkyries are really challenging and can only be defeated if Kratos is well-equipped. Upon beating these Valkryies, you will be rewarded with tons of Hacksilvers, crafting materials, and of course a rare piece of equipment.

2. Realm Tears
Ever wonder what those blackhole-like at some parts of Midgard and the other realms? They are called Realm Tears and those who are high leveled enough, at least level 6, can take down the bosses that the tear spawns. When you defeat the enemies that the realm tears spawn, you will be rewarded with items, including the Dust Realm crafting material.

3. Odin’s Raven
Love exploring? You definitely need to consider in taking down Odin’s Raven that is flying around Midgard and the other realms. Who knows what it unlocks? I still haven’t found them all myself.

4. Free the Dragons
There are a total of three dragons that are imprisoned throughout the game. Seek them out and free all three to get the trophy, and of course a valuable reward.

5. Finish Other Sidequests
If you somehow still have not finished side quests like the ones from Brok and Sindri, now is the time to do them. Though if you are looking for more quests to do, simply sail around the Lake of Nine and you will find a quest to do; this includes finding the bones, the souls, etc.

6. Treasure Hunting
Remember those Maps that Atreus picks up? If you are in the mood for treasure hunting, open the treasure maps that you may have found on your journey and find the exact location of what the picture depicts. These treasures are very valuable and can be useful on your journey.

7. Enhance your Weapons and Equipment
You will still be able to continue gaining experience points even after you finish the game. By doing quests and other activities in the game, you are bound to get more experience points that you can use to maximize the level of your weapon. Remember, if you wish to seek out the most powerful foe in Midgard, you need your weapon to be fully maxed out.

8. Look for Artifacts
Running out of Hacksilvers to upgrade your weapon? If so, don’t forget that each world has artifacts that you can collect and sell for a huge amount of hack silvers.

9. Hidden Bosses
Aside from the nine Valkyries being hidden bosses in the game, there are mini-bosses that you can also take down. They are all scattered throughout Midgard and the other realms. Defeat them to get rare runic attacks.
