Square Enix Seeking A Level Planner For Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Final Fantasy 7 Remake has been in development for a very long time and it sounds like we won’t see the game come out anytime soon. Square Enix is still looking for staff to work on the game as a recent job listing in Japan shows that the company is currently seeking a Level Planner to work on it.

The person they want has to be familiar with developing on the PS4 since the PS4 is the only platform announced that is getting Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The person also has to work with Unreal Engine 4 which is the main game engine that is being used. Some people will know that this is the same game engine that is powering up Kingdom Hearts 3 too.

Here’s the current status of the project as stated by Square Enix: “FF VII REMAKE has all functions and contents implemented. We are constantly examining the program within the development team, but while it is satisfying to say that the original is reproduced with high quality graphics, it is a step further to the quality that can meet the expectations of fans. We have reached the conclusion that we should aim for.

So we will work on the creation of this big title by setting up core members of various professions such as level planner, battle planner, designer, engineer, including existing members in the production of FF VII REMAKE.
For those who apply this time, I expect to be an active member of this core member.”

It sounds like a lot still needs to be done to the game in order to meet the high standards that customers expect from AAA video games. Hopefully Square is able to at least release part 1 of the game soon as the wait has been hard.
