Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Shooting Out This October For PC, PS4 And Xbox One

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Shooting Out This October For PC, PS4 And Xbox One

Activision is continuing its tradition of releasing a new Call of Duty game each and every year. This year’s game will be developed by Treyarch and it will be the fourth game in the popular Black Ops sub-series.

That’s right, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be released later this year for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms. As of this moment, a new version of COD has yet to be announced for the Nintendo Switch. Since the Switch is very popular, hopefully Activision releases a spin-off game for Nintendo fans instead.

The big thing this year is that Black Ops 4 will have a release date of October 12th, 2018. This is one of the earliest release dates for a COD game thus far. Normally the games are released in early November.

Rockstar bookmarked an October 26th, 2018 release date for Red Dead Redemption 2 which might be a reason for COD to run away from its original release window. Red Dead Redemption 2 is similar to Avengers: Infinity War as every other competitor wants to avoid it.

Treyarch will be announcing more details about the new Black Ops video game in an event being held on May 17th, 2018. Black Ops 3 sold lots of copies when it came out in 2015 so it makes sense for Treyarch and Activision to continue with that series. Black Ops has now overtaken the Modern Warfare series to get the most video games.
