Cloud Could Look Slightly Different In Final Fantasy 7 Remake

When the first trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Remake was released back at E3 2015, many people loved the design of characters such as Cloud and Barret. However, it sounds like the former is getting a slight change in his appearance that will make him look like his original design.

As reported by Siliconera, many new images were shown behind closed doors for more concept art regarding the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. There seems to be a slight change of the look of Cloud that could make him appear differently to what we are used to seeing.

The report says  development leader Naoki Hamaguchi got permission from Tetsuya Nomura in order to make the newer design of Cloud. Nomura says this “new” design is the closest one to his original design he did for Cloud more than two decades ago.

It says this Cloud looks more natural and youthful compared to how you normally see him outside of the original game. Sadly, the images were shown behind closed doors so it will be a long time until the images get released publicly.

Square Enix is set to release Kingdom Heart 3 later this year, so it might be a long time until we actually get to play Final Fantasy 7 Remake. It took over a decade for Final Fantasy XV to come out, so patience is needed if you love the Final Fantasy franchise like myself.

However, the game will be released in multiple parts so hopefully the first chapter of the game is able to be released in 2019 at the earliest. Square Enix is sure to share with us more details about the game so stay tuned for later this year on all the relevant info as it comes our way.
