PUBG Corp CEO Would Love The Game To Be Released On More Platforms

As of right now, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is only available to play on PC and Xbox One. Well the future of the game looks bright that more platforms might be included as well.

PUBG Corp CEO, Chang Han Kim, expressed in an interview with InvenGlobal that he’d like to see the game being on more platforms after work is finished on the Xbox One version.

He said: “[W]e’d like to focus on completing the Xbox One PUBG for now. If we have the opportunity, the final goal would be to launch the title on every platform. Early Access on Steam and Game Preview on Xbox One are like pre-release, so they don’t have a restriction on quality. However, PS is very strict about this. There were cases where a game took 6 months more to launch even when it was already completed. We are still in the stage of learning the console development environment and console gamers’ taste. We need to think about other platforms after evaluating and completing the Xbox One version first“.

It sounds like the game will not be on PS4 anytime soon, but it might be coming eventually. The game is too popular to be ignored on other platforms. The more people that play the game, the better it is because this means support for the game will last for many years with a healthy community.
