If you own a PS3 console, you may still have a copy of Demon’s Souls lying around. Well you might want to play it before its online servers are shut down in a few month’s time.
Bandai Namco Entertainment posted the following message on Facebook: “After 9 years of reoccurring deaths and frustrations, but just as many triumphs of dedication, Demon’s Souls online servers will terminate on February 28, 2018. Play online one last time, and share with us your best Demon’s Souls moment!
Once the online services conclude, you will continue to play the game normally offline and the features below will become unavailable: Multiplayer (cooperative play, invading other worlds, challenge play), Hint messages, Other players’ bloodstains, Wandering apparitions and Viewing rankings”
Thankfully unlike an MMO, you can still play Demon’s Souls offline even with the servers being shut down. Only the aforementioned modes and features will be inaccessible from next year.
