CD PROJEKT RED Promises Cyberpunk 2077 Won’t Be A ‘Greedy’ Game

2017 has been a great year for games, although recent Fall releases have been met with controversy. This is all thanks to a combination of microtransactions and annoying loot boxes. Thankfully, CD PROJEKT RED promises Cyberpunk 20177 won’t go down that route.

CD PROJEKT RED tweeted out: “Worry not. When thinking CP2077, think nothing less than TW3 — huge single player, open world, story-driven RPG. No hidden catch, you get what you pay for — no bullshit, just honest gaming like with Wild Hunt. We leave greed to others.”

There has been a worry lately about single player games no longer being made the traditional way.  Game publishers are wanting it to be a “service” much like Destiny or The Division.

However, good single player games still exist such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nioh, Horizon: Zero Dawn and more. Thankfully developers like CD PROJEKT RED will make Cyberpunk 2077 without all of the loot boxes and other stuff we don’t like/need.

  1. Oh please, this is such BS. In all of these games the story is largely the same no matter how you stylize your character. Fallout and Skyrim? Really? Do you even know what you’re talking about? The Witcher 3 has much, MUCH more personal control as to how the story pans out, and it doesn’t allow you to “stylize” your character. That’s because it doesn’t matter what your character looks like, it’s the choices you make that make the game.
