The Taiwan PSN has leaked that an HD remake is being made for Yakuza 2. It sounds like Sega was happy with the HD remake of the first Yakuza game.
A NeoGAF user was the first to see the listing. The game is called “Yakuza Kiwami 2” and it is a remake of the second game in the series. It will use the same game engine as Yakuza 6 and has a Japanese release date of December 7th, 2017.
There will be gameplay improvements as well as rerecorded audio as well. Chances are is that the West will not receive this game until 2018 or beyond.
We will let you know about more details once Sega gives us the information. The Yakuza series has seen a resurgence in popularity once the franchise hit the PS4.
