Nintendo of America posted new artwork for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Fans noticed that it is a throwback to the art featured in the first game.
Nintendo of America wished a “Happy New Year” to everyone on Twitter while posting the artwork that you see above this article. You can see the comparison from the first game below.
It remains to be seen if Breath of the Wild follows the story of the first game. Some people say the new game is a sequel to Twilight Princess and follows the Child Timeline. There is evidence that this takes place in the Fallen Timeline too.
Hopefully Nintendo will finally give us more clues when the Switch console is revealed in more detail on January 12th. You can always follow Nintendo on social media to see new screenshots of the game constantly.
