PS4 exclusive Horizon: Zero Dawn has gone gold which means that the game’s release date should be final. You won’t have to worry about any last minute delays.
Guerrilla Games’ Managing Director tweeted: “#HorizonZeroDawn has gone Gold! I’m so proud of team @guerrilla for embracing this bold new adventure with so much courage and resilience.”
Going gold means that development has finished so there should be no release date delays. The game should be out as planned. The first disc of the game has already been printed.
Horizon: Zero Dawn will be released exclusively on the PS4 on February 28th, 2017 in North America and March 1st, 2017 in Europe. If you own a PS4 Pro, you should be able to play the game in 4K on launch day. The game could be an early GOTY contender judging by the gameplay and visuals we have seen so far.
