Super Mario Run has been downloaded 4 million times already. This is an impressive number since the game is not out yet on Android devices.
Nintendo of America posted on Twitter: “#SuperMarioRun has reached 40 million downloads worldwide in just 4 days! Thanks for playing, everyone!”
Don’t feel left out Android device owners. The game will be out for you in 2017. Super Mario Run is not fully free to play though. The first three levels are free, but the rest you have to pay $9.99 for.
Due to the paywall, it’s unlikely Mario will be able to overtake Pokemon Go as the most popular phone app of 2016.
