E3 2016: Prey announced; Launches in 2017

Prey

Remember when Prey 2 was supposed to be cancelled a couple of years ago? Apparently, there’s a new Prey game announced today and it’s coming out in 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The new Prey game is supposed to be a reboot that is currently being developed by Arkane Studios. According to Arkane, Prey promises to be a psychological thriller set in a dangerous universe. In the trailer shown at the E3 Press Event, we see Morgan and he looks like he’s a test subject in a psychological experiment featuring hostile environments.

You are Morgan Yu, the subject of morally dubious experiments designed to improve the human race. You awaken aboard the Talos 1 in the year 2032 and must uncover the secrets hiding in the depths of the space station while being hunted by the mysterious alien force that has taken over. You’ll have to rely on the tools you find on the station – along with your wits, weapons and mind-bending abilities – to combat the growing threat and, hopefully, survive.

Prey is set to launch in 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Here’s the trailer:
