E3 2015: Predictions For Microsoft’s Press Conference

E3 2015: Predictions For Microsoft’s Press Conference

With E3 2015 coming in little more than a months time, there’s plenty of speculation and ideas on what to expect from each of the big companies. Microsoft historically has taken the stage first with their press conference taking place on Monday mornings, a full day prior to the official opening to E3. Here’s a few things that we should expect (or just wishful thinking!) for Microsoft’s press conference at this year’s E3.

xbox one console bundles

New Xbox One SKU

Microsoft, moreso than either Sony or Nintendo, have brought about more special console editions in this generation in North America. With a major tentpole release like Halo 5: Guardians, it only makes sense for Microsoft would release a special edition Xbox One to coincide with the title’s release. Last year’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare model was a big success, offering only a single print run and selling out at launch. Whether it was the hype surrounding a new Call of Duty release or the system offering a One Terabyte hard drive, either variable could be a big push for Microsoft. Mandatory game installs hover around the 50GB mark so it would be wise for Microsoft to release their next Xbox One with a 1TB hard drive as a minimum.
