Shhying away from the traditional Hunting genre affair, Monster Hunter Stories instead claims to be a true RPG. Whether this means more traditional combat and progression remains to be seen. Instead, Capcom left us only with a brief two minute teaser showing off the art style they’re targetting for Monster Hunter Stories. At firs tglance, the game is starting to capture some of that Level-5/Ni no Kuni atmosphere and ambiance.
You can check out the first reveal trailer for Monster Hunter Stories below. So far the title has only been announced for Japan with a 2016 release window. Monster Hunter Stories is listed as simply a Nintendo 3DS title, so owning a New Nintendo 3DS should not be mandatory for this upcoming RPG.
