Hellraid: The Escape was just announced the other day on April Fools, so almost as a joke, Techland has released a video through Vine to prove that the game itself was not just an April Fools prank. Not only that, but the game’s producer and creator, Andrzej Koloska, gave some further details about the game and how it came to be.
Strangely enough, Koleska actually started work on the iOS spinoff just based on his interest in the console and PC version of Hellraid that is coming later this year. Techland then bought into it and Hellraid: The Escape was born. He also explained a little about about how the two are connected.
First of all, the dark fantasy setting, full of suffering and feeling of omnipresent menace. Our writers paid special attention to embed the stories from both games in the same reality, so that they can even intertwine from time to time. We’re building a single coherent universe, which can be explored in different ways on different platforms.
