Sony has confirmed to the Toronto Sun that the PS4’s price is increasing over in Canada.
The PS4 was $399.99 but will now cost $449.99 from now on for the time being. The DUALSHOCK 4 and PlayStation Camera is also getting a price hike. They were priced at $59.99, but will now be $64.99.
Sony just mentioned the reason for the PS4 price hike is because to “respond to changes in the market environment”. The console has been hard to find over in Canada as stores have been selling out.
Thank god i bought mine before Christmas. But yeah, games have went up in price too. Your average $59.99 game has become $64.99 or $69.99. They’re blaming it on exchange and the dollar. But it’s weird. It’s been fluctuating like crazy lately, but why have they decided to hike everything now?
This hasn’t happened since about 5 or so years ago. Where it only ended up lasting about 6 months or so.
