Regardless of how you felt about the ending to the conclusion of the trilogy, Mass Effect is easily one of the most successful and well respected franchises from the last generation of games. As a result, gamers would love to see the trilogy on next generation consoles, which may not seem so farfetched now, according to Aaron Flynn, general manager of two of Bioware’s studios.
When asked on Twitter by a formerly well known poster on NeoGAF named Shinobi if they were thinking about a remaster on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with “1080p/high-res textures/60fps, etc,” Flynn had an interesting response.
We have discussed that internally. If we can put solid plans together we’ll share. Great to hear you’re keen.
While this is far from confirmation of course, it is nice to know there have been internal discussions about the possibility. The studio is likely pretty well involved with the next entry in the franchise, but I know I’d love to see this happen in the future.
