New Sonic Game Supposedly Coming To Xbox One, PS4, and Wii U

Just last year, it was announced that Sega and Nintendo had signed an agreement to release three Sonic-related games exclusively for the Wii U. Two of those games have already released, Sonic: Lost World and Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, and the other unknown title is expected to release in 2014. However, it has now been discovered that there is another Sonic game in development, but this one is for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Wii U.

Last week was the Nuremberg Toy Fair, which featured toy maker Jazwares, who had some Sonic toys on display, as well as a very interesting sign. The sign has one half for games and the other half for the upcoming Sonic Boom TV series. The games side has both Sonic: Lost World and Mario & Sonic 2014, but also a mysterious “New 2015 title TBA” game that is listed for Wii U, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

Also of interest is the omission of the other Wii U exclusive Sonic game that we are supposed to be getting, but the main interest was this new multiplatform Sonic game. Is this possibly the game that used to be a Wii U exclusive, or is that game still coming separately? Or could it have even been cancelled due to the problems the Wii U is having? We’ll have to wait to get official word from Sega on that one, as they have not even officially announced this new multiplatform game.
