Super Smash Bros. returns to the kennel with Assist Trophy

Super Smash Bros.

We’ve had a good week of information without a character unveil for Super Smash Bros. and we capped the week with another unveil. This time it was the announcement of the return of an Assist Trophy from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but with a twist.

Today, Masahiro Sakurai decided to use the official Super Smash Bros. website to show a screenshot of the return of the Nintendogs Assist Trophy. This time around, rather than a yellow Lab, the Nintendogs Assist Trophy is a French Bulldog.

Pic of the Day. The breed of the Nintendogs Assist Trophy has changed to a French Bulldog. It looks so real! Tell me that doesn’t bring a smile to your face.

Now that a character has not been unveiled this week, we will have a new record long for days between character unveils as Marth was revealed on November 7. Hopefully that means we will get one soon, perhaps to coincide with the Japanese release date for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds in a couple weeks.
