We’ve brought you multiple updates on the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS over the last few months including characters, levels, and most recently a new Assist Trophy. Well today we have something new once again, a new weapon based on the Steel Diver game for the Nintendo 3DS.
This weapon is a neat twist on the original game, as rather than take the sub itself, it has been made into a projectile weapon that fires torpedoes. Masahiro Sakurai discussed the new Steel Diver weapon in his Miiverse posting that came alongside the picture.
Pic of the day. Q: “Is this a Steel Diver?” A: “Yes, indeed, that is a Steel Diver.” The sub from Steel Diver is now a cute projectile weapon–it launches torpedoes that fly slowly at first.
This is just another interesting piece of the game that makes the wait all the longer for the new Super Smash Bros.
