A huge patch was released for the PS4 and Xbox One version of NBA 2K14, but people are still having server issues.
The patch was pretty large and was supposed to fix the issues that NBA 2K14 has with its servers. Even with the patch installed, many gamers out there are still experiencing server issues.
Ronnie2K tweeted the following:
Dev continues to actively work on server concerns. Will update you when I know more. Thank you for your help and patience while we try to solve this issue #NBA2K14
The annoying part of NBA 2K14 is that some of the major game modes are unplayable when the servers are down. Hopefully they will be fixed within the next few days/weeks.
The issues have not been resolved. Regarding connectivity, the MyTeam feature has been completely unavailable all night. Even when the servers are available, MyCareer and MyGm features remain unplayable. This issue seems to arise from the five-save limit imposed by the game. The game is coded incorrectly and is not overwriting saves or deleting save files for the server when instructed to by the user. This leaves the player in a loop that continually brings the user at the main menu screen. There has been little to no talk of this issue in the media covering 2K’s woes, but it is another game-breaking issue that must be resolved before the game has any value to users. When confronted with this issue, on Twitter, Ronnie Singh dismissed the matter as a “non-online issue.” Sad that they would try to keep it under wraps rather than address it.
That is exactly my same problem! I can’t start a new gm mode cause every time I do it eventually kicks me back to the main menu then when I load it back up it loads up my first gm I started. I’ve deleted my first gm about 10 times and it keeps loading it up!! 2k servers are a joke! Save your money!! Only if NBA Live had 2k graphics and gameplay.
