The Xbox 360 is officially the most popular console in the USA right now as it surpassed the Wii.
The Wii went off to a hot start and was the best selling 7th generation home console in the USA. It sold itself 41,322,951 units since it was released in 2006. The Xbox 360 has now surpassed the Wii and has sales of 41,336,970 units in the USA.
The Xbox 360 also tipped the Wii in terms of overall software sales too. The console sold 460.11 million games while the Wii is sold 431.08 million games.
Sales of both consoles are likely to slow down with the 8th generation of gaming now available with the Wii U, PS4 and Xbox One now out.
