Outdoor Stadiums Debut In WWE 2K14

2K Games has noted that all of the arenas in WWE 2K14 have been remodeled and it includes outdoor football stadiums too.

In previous video games, outdoor WrestleMania events were still animated as if they were inside a small arena. The only outdoor event they animated before was only WrestleMania IX, and that was about it. In WWE 2K14 however, there will be seven different types of arenas.

The game’s creative director Cory Ledesma noted the following on twitter:

In #WWE2K14 we have 7 different arena types and sizes for #30YearsOfWrestleMania. Including new large indoor/outdoor football stadium sizes.

To expand on my previous #WWE2K14 tweet, the WrestleMania arenas are unlockable and useable in other game areas similar to previous years.

It’s great to know that the WWE video games are becoming more realistic as time goes by. I know I was disappointed for many years when the stadiums weren’t actually animated/modeled properly. Now, WrestleMania events should look better now than they have ever been in the past.

WWE 2K14 releases October 29th in North America and November 1st in Europe for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

  1. That sounds awesome! But I would rather have a beat up old ring in a parking lot, an old high school gym and a national guard armory so that my indy wrestler CAW feel at home.

  2. outdoor stadiums is a welcome addition but i really hope 2K decides to make WWE ’14 day one digital on psn. My ps3 stopped reading game disks a couple month ago so i’m stuck with digital only games. :(

  3. I hope that on universe mode for wrestlemania, the first two matches are daytime, the next two matches are sunset, and the rest are nightime. That would be the best. And I hope that wrestlemania 26 and 25 are in the game

  4. the game looks cool good graphics and all but they still need to work on the fans i mean cmon really they still dont look real like they do for the commercials hope 2k games do well for 2k 15
