The PS4 Also Offers Amazing Value For Your Money

Japanese Game Developer Support

Microsoft has obviously found it hard to penetrate the Japanese market. Japanese gamers prefer to play on Sony and Nintendo consoles. With that being said, there have been a number of great exclusive PS3 games released from Japanese game developers over the years. One of my favorite franchises is the Yakuza series. The series is fun to play and I’m hoping Sega continues the series on the PS4.

There are also more JRPG games released exclusively on PlayStation platform too. There’s the numerous “Tales” games, Disgaea series, Valkyria Chonicles and more that were all released on the PS3 platform only. I’m guessing similar JRPG games will continue to be made for the PS4 too, even though Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy have gone multiplatform…

Cross Play With PS Vita

Another innovative feature of the of the console is that you can play PS4 games using your PS Vita via remote play. Sony hopes all PS4 games can be made playable on the PS Vita. This is an awesome feature to be able to play your PS Vita games on the go. The only downside is that I doubt EVERY game can be playable. The PS Vita lacks all of the buttons that are present on a DUALSHOCK 4 controller so I don’t think all games will have remote play…

Stream PS3 Games with Gaikai

Sadly, the PS4 is not backwards compatible. But there is a solution to this and that’s Gaikai’s streaming service that is set to launch sometime in 2014. This service will allow you to stream and play full PS3 video games. Hopefully this will include PSOne and PS2 games too. They only announced PS3 games will be playable at E3 while PS Vita games will be available for the service too sometime in 2014 as well.

Overall, the PS4 is shaping up to be an amazing and powerful console. Also, the Xbox One is also console to look forward to as well. Now that all of the anti-consumer policies have now been removed, the next generation of gaming finally looks bright.
