Sony has not announced an exact release date for the PS4 yet other than “Holiday 2013”. They might be making the long awaited announcement at gamescom.
This is according to a report from German website PC Games. “Source close to Sony” have said that the release date announcement for the PS4 will happen at gamescom.
gamescom is a huge gaming event held annually in Germany. The event usually attracts well over 270,000 people each year so it would make sense for Sony to announce something important at such a big event. This year’s event runs from August 21st until August 25th. If this is true, the announcement could happen on August 21st as that’s a media only day.
