Although exact numbers were not announced, Amazon is amazed about the popularity of pre-orders for both the PS4 and Xbox One.
Amazon received its biggest pre-order week ever when the consoles were made available to order. Once both console’s prices were announced at E3 , 2,500 console orders were being placed through Amazon per minute.
Amazon sold out of Day One editions of the PS4, but now have bundles available which stock the console with one specific game. Xbox One pre-orders started off slightly slower than the PS4, but has increased quite a bit now that Microsoft removed all of the stupid restrictions the Xbox One used to have.
