E3 2013: Rainbow 6: Patriots Coming To Xbox One and PS4

E3 2013: Rainbow 6: Patriots Coming To Xbox One and PS4

Ubisoft announced Rainbow 6: Patriots back in 2011. It was announced for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Since the game failed to come out, it will now be released for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Ubisoft senior vice president of sales and marketing Tony Key confirmed this to IGN:

“Sometimes you have to take a step back and go ‘you know, I’m seeing the possibilities, but it’s gonna take more time. We don’t really have anything else to announce or say about Rainbow 6, but we will say it’s a really exciting project for us and we can’t wait to say more.”

When IGN asked if the game will be on next-gen, he simply said “Yes”. The main reason Rainbow 6: Patriots was delayed was because Key mentioned the game was caught during the transition of current-gen to net-gen consoles. Since the game wasn’t going to be out in 2013, I’m guessing Ubisoft made the decision to release it on PS4 and Xbox One only. Presumably the game should be out on PC too.
