Star Wars: The Old Republic ‘Preferred Players’ Receiving Less Restrictions

When Star Wars: the Old Republic decided to go free to play last month, fan reactions were mixed as the majority of the changes that followed the free to play model placed too many restrictions. As of today, if you were once a subscriber, you can come back as a ‘Preferred Player’ with a lot less restrictions than people are who are playing for free, though sometime in the future, there will be good changes coming.

Instead of having two character slots for the Preferred Player, Bioware is increasing it to six, allowing past subscribers to create up to six characters. Also, if you are new to the Old Republic and want to become “preferred”, you can easily do so by simply purchasing anything on the Cartel Market, which is the online game store.

According to Bioware, they are listening to fan feedback to further improve the game. If what you see now is something you don’t like, give them a chance and they might listen to your plea.
