EA had a special promotion over the weekend that allowed survey responders a chance to download only one free game on Origin. EA did not send out the right code and it allowed people to download more than just one game…
Word spread like wildfire that you could download as many games as you want from EA’s Origin service. Not only that, any Origin account holder from the USA and Canada with the code could download games for free regardless if you responded to the survey or not.
The code was a $20 discount for games on Origin. Practically any game that was $20 or under, people received for free.
It’s said that thousands of free games were downloaded by people over the weekend until EA finally realised its blunder.
