Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection Review

When Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica X was released as HD on the PS3, many complained to the amount of trophies it has as there was no Platinum Trophy. Well in both Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles, you can expect a full set of trophies that includes a platinum in each game. This is a good news for trophy hunters!

NOT

Nothing New is Added
Aside from the remastered visuals, and trophy support, the Chronicles HD Collection offers nothing new from its predeccesor. The same exact version was simply ported, offering nothing new to entice gamers into picking the game up again for those who have played it on the Wii.

VERDICT

Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection is a great game for anyone who wants to refresh their memory in regards to the backstory of the game. For those who have played the game before on the Nintendo Wii, you will most likely have no reason to pick the game up as it offers nothing new from its predecessor aside from its revamped visuals and trophy support. However, gamers who never had a Wii and didn’t get a chance to play the Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles, picking this one up is highly recommended.
