The Elder Scrolls Online’s Factions and Races Have Been Revealed

The Elder Scrolls Online’s Factions and Races Have Been Revealed

It has been previously mentioned that The Elder Scrolls Online will feature three factions. We now know the names for each faction, as well as the races specific to each one. This information comes courtesy of a wiki entry for the game on IGN. Even though there are three factions they have all formed one alliance to take on a fourth non playable alliance. The three playable factions are The Ebonheart Pact, The Aldmeri Dominion,  and The Daggerfall Covenant.

  • The Ebonheart Pact consists of Nords, Dunmer, and Argonians from the Northern and Eastern regions.
  • The Aldmeri Dominion consists of Altmer, Bosmer, and Khajiit from the South and South West regions.
  • The Daggerfall Covenant consists of Bretons, Redguards, and Orcs from the North West regions.

The fourth, non-playable faction are known as the imperials. They are the antagonist for of The Elder Scrolls Online. The Imperials are working with the noble Tharn Family to bring Tamriel back under Imperial Rule. They have signed a treaty with Mannimarco, King of Worms, who promises to bring their fallen soldiers back to life.

However, that does not really happen, as Mannimarco has also signed a pact with Daedric Prince Molag Bal so that the two of them may rule over Tamriel for many years to come.

This is a really interesting concept and I am anticipating to see how this turns out.
