Diablo 3 Guide – Crafting Materials Based on Difficulty

If you want the best equipment in Diablo 3, then you’re going to have to master crafting. Those who want to depend on crafting, will have to gather certain items and salvaging them in order for the blacksmith to craft a new item.

During the first act, when you helped Haedrig find his wife, he’ll open a Blacksmith Shop in the middle of New Tristrum. For him to make a new item, you must spend  gold that you get from enemies and keep upgrading his shop until it reaches the max level. Every time you upgrade it, new items appear, though this won’t upgrade your blacksmith. No, in order to craft the items that you unlocked while upgrading his shop, you will need materials.

On you first run through on Diablo 3, it’s nearly impossible for you to obtain the ultimate equipment, as it requires blacksmith level 10, which requires certain materials that can only be salvaged in Inferno mode.
