Virtual Sword Sold To Man For $16,000

If you think spending $15 on DLC is expensive, then your jaw will drop when you hear that a man from China spent up to $16,000 on a virtual sword for a game that has yet to come out. That’s right. Age of Wulin, a Chinese MMORPG from Snail Games, managed to auction off an impressive amount of expensive DLC. Not only was a sword sold at an outrageous sum, but two other virtual items were sold at a miraculous $2,500 and $1,500.

Age of Wulin is expected to be headed to North America following the Chinese open beta sometime in the Spring. Expect to bring your wallet if you plan on playing this one!
