Sony has confirmed that the popular Uncharted series has managed to sell over 13 million copies worldwide.
The announcement was made by Uncharted 3 product marketing manager Asad Quizilbash in an interview with Industry Gamers. The Uncharted series has proven to be popular with both critics and gamers alike.
Quizilbash mentioned reaching the 13 million sales mark is “pretty impressive” considering the Uncharted series is a platform exclusive. Sony announced last month that Uncharted 3 managed to sell 3.8 million copies on its first day on sale.
When asked if there will be a sequel to Uncharted 3, he could not give any further details on the matter. With the amount of money the Uncharted series and eared, it’s a safe bet a sequel is being considered…
The next game to be released in the Uncharted series is the PS Vita exclusive Uncharted: Golden Abyss. This game launches the same day as the PS Vita on February 22nd.
