Uncharted: Golden Abyss Trophies Offers a Challenge to Fans

With Uncharted: Golden Abyss now available in Japan, the requirements to get the 52 available trophies, including the Platinum Trophy, have finally been revealed. Is it as easy as the ones on the console games? Not really!

Back in the first three Uncharted games on the PlayStation 3, fans can easily get 30% of the trophies by simply finishing the game. The rest will require you to use weapons multiple times, and do the hunt for the 100 treasures. Well, in Golden Abyss, expect to only get at least 20% as soon as you finish the game.

One of changes Bend Studio did in Golden Abyss is to improve more on the hunting part of treasures. This time, there are more than 100 things to collect and to uncover. Players who are planning to platinum Golden Abyss will be required to spend a lot of time in each chapter, uncovering the treasures, solving puzzles where you have to rub off the touch screen of the Vita and arrange them in order. Thanks to the implementation of the touch screen and the use of the in-game camera, you’ll be tasked to do a lot of extra stuff, aside from simply adventuring with Drake and Chase.

Some of the miscellaneous things that fans should look forward to with Uncharted: Golden Abyss are: take in-game picture that matches the required picture that you need to take, dusting an old artifact and many more. Don’t worry though, as each of the things you uncover has a history behind it and is related to the game to give you a better understanding of what’s going on in Golden Abyss,

So, what percentile does Golden Abyss rely on treasure hunting? Well, you are looking at approximately 60% as there’s no multiplayer trophies as it doesn’t exist here. The rest relies on the weapon usage, and finishing the game in Crushing difficulty.

  1. Looks cool, I actually like the lack of multiplayer, uncharted multi was a gimmick, and games like this it’s actually worth putting in the effort to platinum, because you don’t need to rely on useless people in online matches…
