Skyrim Does Not Have A Minecraft Easter Egg After All

The recent rumour that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim includes a Minecraft related Easter egg has been disproved by long-time fans of the series.

Gaming forums and a few gaming websites had previously reported that there was an Easter egg which referenced Minecraft in Skyrim, after a ‘Notched Pickaxe’ was found as loot. Since the posts, fans of the series have been quick to point out that the Notched Pickaxe was also in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

So unfortunately for Markus Persson aka “Notch” there isn’t an Easter egg named after him in Skyrim.

  1. The thing is, there were many notched pickaxes in oblivion, there is only 1 notched pickaxe in skyrim, its got a high value and is in the middle of nowhere. I think it is a easter egg

  2. There isn’t a single “Notched Pickaxe” in Oblivion, Morrowind, or Daggerfall.

Those “fans of the series” clearly aren’t.
