Halo Reach sees anniversary maps next week

There may be a small sub-section of Halo enthusiasts who love Halo Reache’s multiplayer yet aren’t intending on pciking up the upcoming Halo CE Anniversary when it launches on the 18th of November.

Actually, come to think of it, I’m one of those people. I’ve played the Halo Reach multiplayer quite extensively over its lifespan (seriously if you’d like a round I’m always up for it *twitch*) yet I’m not ewntirely sure if I’d like to drop the necessary money on the Halo CE remake just to get those maps. Well picky, cheapy people like me now have another option, because Microsoft and 343 Industries (who are now caretaking the Halo franchise now that Bungie have gone on to new things) have announced that the seven remade maps will also be made available for Halo Reach via the magical medium of DLC.

The maps for you enjoyment are Battle Canyon, Breakneck, High Noon, Penance, Ridgeline and Solitary – all of them remakes of classic Halo CE maps. The maps go on sale for 1200 MS points. That’s for 6 new competetive maps and one new Firefight map. They go on sale on November 15th. Enjoy Halo fans (and I’m serious about that challenge…I crave some new blood!)
