Pepsi is no stranger to promotional partnerships with video games; let’s not forget about the Game Fuel campaign a few years back. Well it seems like they are at it again; this time they are setting their sites on the heavy hitting first person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
On a teaser site , Activision announced that with the purchase of Mountain Dew sodas and special combo packs of Doritos and the Dew, players will be able to earn double xp while playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer. Here is a breakdown of how it works:
“DEW fans have been clamouring for the return of Mountain Dew Game Fuel, so we wanted to really fire them up with a partnership that gets to the core of what DEW is all about,” Brett O’Brien, VP of Mountain Dew marketing said in a press release issued last month.
Be warned though, before any of you go out and blow your hard earned dough on the Pepsi promo expecting to get ahead of the competition, there is a double xp cap of only 24 hours.
