A Dream About Grand Theft Auto V

When Rockstar Games officially announced Grand Theft Auto V, it was late at night when I first heard of the news. As a result of this, I had a strange dream about what the game would look like.

I normally don’t have vivid dreams every night but this one seemed so real and lifelike. I dreamed about the trailer which is set to debut for real on November 2nd, 2011. From what I saw in that dream, it compelled me to share with you the features of Grand Theft Auto V that I witnessed in my dream. Whether or not these features come true remain to be seen, but I thought it would be an interesting story to tell.

First of all, the game was set in Los Santos. This is the same city that was seen in the first segment of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The city was bright with a glaring sun gazing at the top of the sky. I also imagined iconic BMX bikes from San Andreas made their triumphant return. I didn’t get to see much else of the city before it turned to show the main character of the game.

In my dream, the main character is a lightly built Hispanic man. He was in his gang going out on a drive-by in the middle of the freeway. The worse part of the dream I remember was that the visuals of the game were exactly the same as those seen in Grand Theft Auto IV. Not only this but the game also had the same physics and gameplay. I remember driving around the city was harder as I crashed into many traffic lights and ran into pedestrians…

Before I could witness anything else, I woke up and realized it was all a dream and November 2nd was still over a week away. Whether or not my dream was some sort of a premonition remains to be seen. What we do know is that the game is rumored to set in a fictional Los Angeles city and that it will be for the PS3 and Xbox 360 next year.

Let’s see if my “dream” does come true in a week’s time. I would say it’s feasible the main character could be Hispanic and the fact that it could be set in Los Santos. Although I’m hoping the visuals of Grand Theft Auto V are better. Grand theft Auto IV looks pretty outdated now…

What would you like to see in Grand Theft Auto V? Did you have any strange dreams about it like I did last night?

  1. Thanks for highlighting the mistake. I was thinking about the release date for the game instead which is 2012 lol.
