Naughty Dog seem to have confused themselves and fans alike when they announced, their upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive, Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception had gone gold.
The news was broken on Naughty Dog’s Facebook page when they posted: “Proud to announce that the game is now 100% complete (GM = Gold Master) – Ready to produce millions and billions of bluray discs! Now all we do is wait.”
Soon after fans started talking about the final game being finished Christophe Balestra the Co-President of Naughty Dog tweeted that in fact “we’re [Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception] not gold yet.” To make matters worse after Balestra’s tweet one of the Naughty Dog developers backed up the original announcement by saying “yep we are in GM [Gold Master] now”.
Hopefully the game whether it is gold or not, turns out well polished and a joy to play like its predecessors.
I want to play now.
