BioWare and LucaArts has finally announced the final release date for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
As announced on the game’s official website, Star Wars: The Old Republic will be releasing before Christmas 2011 after all despite rumors suggesting it would be released in 2012.
Star Wars: The Old Republic will be released on December 20th, 2011 in North America and December 22nd, 2011 in Europe.
BioWare co-founders Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk had this to say:
“This is an incredible moment for everyone at BioWare and our partners at LucasArts who have dedicated their lives to build this extraordinary game. We appreciate the patience from the millions of fans who have been waiting for the game’s release.”
Fans around the world can rejoice at the fact the game will be releasing during the 2011 holiday season. The last thing gamers needed was an empty presents under the Christmas tree this year.
