Jens has recently addressed the topic of a survival mode for in and after Minecraft beta 1.8.
Speaking on the social networking site Twitter, Jens was asked “will survival exist after 1.8?” He soon responded that “I interpreted the question as if the *current* kind of survival mode will remain, and it won’t since we’re changing it now”.
I believe what Jens is pointing to is the two paths Minecraft is taking with a create mode then survival which adds rumoured skills and a hunger bar into the game. What are your plans for when Minecraft beta 1.8 is released? Comment below.
I’m looking forward to 1.8. I think the new changes to the game are going to help add a new dimension to the survival aspect
