The PC version of id’s upcoming shooter RAGE will be taking full advantage of the Steamworks platform. “Since folks are asking… we can confirm that RAGE will use Steamworks on PC,” Bethesda recently announced on its official Twitter feed. This comes after their announcement last week of the Collector’s Edition that will be sold exclusively at GAME.
Since RAGE is getting the full on Steam treatment, those of you who purchase it on the PC will be able to enjoy VOIP, Steam Achievements, Valve anti-cheat, challenge leaderboards, friend support that includes invites and joining sessions already in progress, dedicated servers and Steam Cloud for your saved data. RAGE releases on October 7 for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
