Minecraft beta 1.8 to have over 150 crafting recipes

Jens has today revealed that there is going to be a lot of individual crafting recipes in Minecraft Beta 1.8.

Jens commented on the social networking site Twitter that “Minecraft’s start log now states there are 160 crafting recipes”, he did however then add “I don’t remember what it used to be”.

With 160 tools and objects to create, alongside all the new content added such as the Enderman mob and NPC villages, Minecraft beta 1.8 is shaping up to be an almost game changing update.

  1. Latest version of 1.7 has 151 recipes according to the start log. Nine new recipes is still pretty intriguing.

  4. Mine says 151 recipes, too. That definitely means 9 more crafting recipes, but it DOES NOT mean 9 more items! raw chicken, cooked chicken, melons, etc most likely can’t be crafted, so therefore they aren’t counted in the “recipes”.
