Nintendo has officially announced massive price drops for the Nintendo 3DS worldwide.
The Nintendo 3DS will now be priced at only $169.99. This is a massive drop from its release date price of $249.99. Australia’s new price is $ to $AUD249.95 down from $AUD349.95. New Zealand gamers will also receive a significant price drop too. It used to cost $NZD479 but the new price will be only $NZD343.99.
The price cuts will take in effect from 12th August 2011. It’s a worldwide price drop so check your local country for the new prices.
If you’re planning to buy a Nintendo 3DS soon, wait until that date. The Nintendo 3DS has only been out for 4 months so it’s surprising to see a price cut so soon. One could suggest it’s a move to sway consumers from Sony’s PSVita which is expected to be released next year.
