With the PSN Hacked, Your Credit Card & Personal Info is Seriously Compromised

Today marks the seventh day of the PlayStation Network being down and to update us with the status, Sony released a shocking statement about our personal information stored on the servers.

As revealed last week, the PlayStation Network servers were attacked by hackers and according to Sony, our information such as our name, address, credit card information, and the login credentials to access the PlayStation Network maybe stolen and be used for other purpose without us knowing. In order to prepare ourselves with this kind of incident, Sony advices PSN users to check their monthly statement for any unauthorized transactions, and to never give out any personal information such as social security when a user received a spoof email from Sony. The company made it clear one more time that Sony never asks for any personal information via email.

According to Sony, the servers will be back within a week. No confirmed date was revealed as to when exactly the servers will be back up. For now, we must stay vigilant and be cautious!
